Hi,

I want to start out with one background scene such as a classroom and then have it transform into an conference room as the character is talking. How do I set that up?

Thanks,

Teri

a) WELCOME to the Reallusion family.

b) What product are you using?  CrazyTalk?  iClone?

c) For best results, post questions in the appropriate sub-forum area.

d) As a general answer, you might want to involve an external video editor (NLE), animate against an empty background, and composite the charater in front of the changine background in the NLE.  There are other options, but it depends on your answer to "b" above.

e) Once again, Welcome.  Smile

iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity...

welcome and hello,

if your using iclone:

use a plane for your background instead of the 2d background
(located in props/3d surfaces)
scale it up so it stays in frame.
duplicate it with (cntrl - move)
add your second background image to the duplicate
go to frame 1 and shut off visibility

now simply go to the frame where the change occurs
shut off visibilty for background 1
turn on background 2

If you want this to be a gentle transition, do this:

1) render the same scene with each background to come up with 2 files
2) bring files into non linear editor, like hitfilm pro, or after effects, or premiere
3) make a transition between the two
4) re-render

Another suggestion is to change the transparencies of the backgrounds to give a fade out- fade in!

I'm using CrazyTalk Animator 2 Pro.

This will work in Animator 32.

Open the timeline, select the first background...Make sure the opacity is 100.  Now select the 2nd background and set the opacity to 0.  Go to the point in the timeline where you want the 2nd background to appear.  Select the first background and set the opacity to 0, then set the 2nd background's opacity to 100.
