If you want Key-able IMPORTED MORPH DIALS - vote #293
herePlease be aware that request covers IMPORTED morphs ONLY
as in, morphs imported from Daz Studio / Poser, or made in ZBrush, 3Dcoat, Blender, Carrara, Lightwave, Sculptris, Max, Maya etc
But...
even if we get Morph dials it will barely solve 10% of the morph animation problem in iCloneThe typical iCloner needs MORE Morph Animation OPTIONS.
(If time is no object, and spending 1 or 2 hours to move a few vertices is acceptable to you, then ignore the rest of this wish list)There are other
FASTER EASIER ways to morph your unimesh characters from a human to ET
Without leaving iClone !
Without going through the time-devouring
minimum 30 minutes iClone-3DX-modelingApp and back process
the infamous 100++ clicks iClone
export-export-import-sculpt-export-import-loadcustom-import pipeline
Just to move a few vertices on your character... !!!
For reference: I am a speed modeler/sculptor and have budget for for iClone+3DXPiepline suite
Most iCloners should not be expected to have my skill set or budget
a process that takes skilled iClone users like myself half an hour, will take a typical hobbyist hours !
Point is -
Most character animators should not be expected to spend more than 10 clicks or 2 minutes to move a few vertices, full stop!
WHAT IF we could DIRECTLY MORPH and CREATE MORPH DIALS - LOCALLY inside iClone?
Or at the very least, generate morphs with bone transform, then create SAVE-ABLE PRESETS?
Just like any other character animation programs?!
It is the most natural, most BASIC way of morphing characters in ANY OTHER character animation programs!
*Note: to iC5 users / new arrivals: the above WAS possible on G5 (face only) in iClone5, but completely disabled in iClone6
So...- If you want LOCAL Morph Animation, 100% inside iClone
- if you want to adjust trench coat/ skirt-thigh poke-throughs or reshape collar bit without spending 30 minutes and 100++ clicks
- if you want to fine-tune phoneme/ viseme mouth / lip / tongue distortion issues
- if you want to make pulsing biceps or swelling forehead or puffing cheek or transforming elfin ears ON THE FLY
