Hello Icloner
Today we explore a strange shadow-jumping error if we fade out a prop. Is there a work arround or solution to supress it?
Normaly the Shadow must fade in the same intesitiy as the object will do and not suddenly flip off or on .
Thank you very much. I tried all settings in differnet combinations but nothing helps to get an satisfied result.

Best wishes and have a good time

There is no way to stop the shadows from having a sudden "blink" off or on. But you can specify the level of transparency of an object at which point that happens.

The "Shadow Threshold" slider in the material settings for your object determines at what level of opacity the shadow will "blink". If you set all the way to the left (zero) the shadow will remain visible until the object is at zero opacity. Likewise, if you set the threshold to "99", the object will not cast shoadow until its opacity is 100%.

The downside is that the shadow is either "full on", or "full off". It does not become less opaque as the object does.
