I just spent a ton of money upgrading to pipeline 6, IC 6, clothing bases, etc. Lo and behold, I get a message in 3dx6 that these CC characters and bases cannot be exported! When I click on the link that takes me back to the
Reallusion site, it says those bases are not yet available for export! Yet I CAN export the CC characters that come with IC6. What???

How much MORE will it cost me to have export ability for CC custom characters??? And why are they not immediately available?

I feel a bit ripped off having spent nearly a grand of hard-earned cash on various upgrades and items in preparation to do some animation.

I like the programs but sometimes  feel like I'm being nickled and dimed to death by Reallusion.

Hi johncarstarphen.

Can you tell which characters can not be exported? Maybe a screen shot would also help to evaluate further. Thanks!

Hi: here are two completely custom characters. Jessica (t-pose) is from a modified CC base I purchased in the marketplace. But the other character is only designed from the regular CC base plus base clothing figures. In other words, the character is made only from the included morphs in the Essential Morphs package. Neither one can be exported via Pipeline.

Thanks for the additional infos.

Well, in general Export will be only available if you have purchased the Export Versions for all items in the scene.

In your first screenshot I see the Default Character with additional Essential Morphs --> that should be fine as Essential Morphs are Export ready by default, but it seems the character is wearing clothes other than the Default Skirt. If you applied clothes from the Essential Clothing and Fabric pack make sure that you also own the Export version, otherwise it won't work (in Content Store you will find the iContent and Export version).

I think it's the same problem with the character in your second screenshot. Hope that helps.

It's been the case for a long time that base content (content that is included in iClone) can be freely exported. Anything else (with DRM protection) requires an export license.

I believe that if you have the regular content, the export license would cost the difference in price ($100 in this case).

I had a similar issue with the "3DX 6 Trial" version and I bought another hundred bucks worth of export licensing for the essentials packs just to see if it was worth another three hundred bucks for the pipeline version.  I couldn't export to fbx because of content issues also, and like your first pic there was nothing in the box to indicate what I needed to buy to be able to export.  It wasn't until I found the colored clothing names in the "modify section" list that I knew what was causing the problems, but my trial version ran out before I could try again and I decided to just wait to buy the pipeline version until I see others getting better results with this export licensing issues.  I got dizzy being redirected to page after page and getting no answers to the blank content box as in your first pic, support tickets helped a little but still had to find them myself, hope this helps.

You might look at the full body morphs list also for colored slider names, I just found one that I know I bought with export license colored out.
