There are some time there was a discussion about mirrors.I found a video of Nenad Asanovic that creates mirrors.Personally I have not tried yet. If anyone is interested here is his method:All you need to do is, create water, delete it's diffuse and bump add black as color and adjust water to your need for size mirror. And here's the video:

Thanks for the heads-up, zeronimo! I think it's technically the best way to do a mirror at the moment, but still awkward, makes me wonder why they never allowed us to rotate the waterplane.

Actually the BEST Way to do a Mirror is using the Mirror supplied by Reallusion and actually given away on this forum some time ago. See the Demo below on YouTube, and then search the forum for the prop... it still works in iClone5 and iClone6, and you don't have to play topsy turvy with the cameras.

Cheers Cricky, that looks like the one Rampa pointed out to me in JC's thread the other week. I thought it was perfect the first time I used it, you can transform it and all that stuff, but it doesn't reflect shadows

To use the mirror you need to use iClone in DX 9 mode as I have pointed out some time ago as well. (Yes it was me...) The problem is that you loose the features introduced with DX11, which may or may not be any issue. For me they are. I also provided a way to just use the mirror part using compositing, but Pumeco found that too complicated...

@JobSorry mate, did you post a video for me or something? I remember you saying something about compositing and me not being interested in that, but if you posted a demonstration I might not have been aware of it due to embedding not working for me. This broken embedding lark is a real pain in the arse and it must be a dead easy fix!

I have to remember that a mere description might not do as ours is a visual medium. I'm using it in a project I'm currently working on, but I'll see if I can give an example that doesn't reveal anything about this project.
