I bought this particle explosion few times ago and it's a very good start to learn how particles run
http://www.reallusion.com/ContentStore/ccdproduct.aspx?contentid=AIC500CIENU040220140817001and you can also see how UDK particle works. You can re-use their particle shape with Iclone particle. And of course
for more convincing result you must use point lights to simulate the bounce luminosity of iclone particles because they
don't emit light. like udk , you may don't have the choice to add some dynamic-physic objects for bouncing particle-stones.
Once again thank you mtakerkart, this is very informative and helpful.
But I must say that the main reason I started this thread is to test by myself how to build (create) my very own particle systems inside iClone, the shockwave was only an example.
The reason I'm curious is so I will be able to make my very own effects and re-use them inside iClone.
So I'm not really looking for a specific explosion, smoke, dust or anything like that I REALLY want to know how I can start inside iClone and create it by myself, I'm very curious about it but can't find a video tutorial on making my very own particle system effects inside iClone 6 from start to finish and save it on my user content for re-using whenever I need.
The example video with the effect looking really cool, I liked the smoke circular wave that came out like a wave shock when the explosion start and I'm VERY curious if that effect created inside iClone... or it's imported to iClone somehow? this is very interesting to me and I would like to know more about the process of creating even a simple particle system effect (again, from scratch... not from a preset) in iClone 6.
Thanks ahead for any info or video tutorial on this subject!
EDIT:
I found this video tutorial very helpful to start:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPmIM6sA5FIBut it's the old iclone version, user interface and my first iClone versinon is 6 so I need to get used to it and find some menus. For example: when I add the "Basic01" to the scene like in the video tutorial, I can't see it on the scene manager, when I play I do see it play smooth and all but in the Scene manager it shows only the 2 defualt lights.
(All filters are checked include particles) so I can't really "explore" how it's made... maybe it's on other menus like properties I'm still messing around to find it.
I see it's settings once I add it to the scene, but how do I move it, rotate, and turn on and off it's visibility like I do on anything else on the Scene manager?.
I'm still looking for more examples to get into it and build more complicated effects, it is very interesting so feel free to share more in this thread.
