it would be useful to handle with more than just one camera timeline. Using a marker or a Switch i could set each camera timeline as the active one.

I've often thought that as well, but seeing as there is only 2D space, it's simple enough to move the one camera around via keyframes. Having used quite a few 2D animation applications, they all pretty much have this in common; having only 1 camera.

You're right. i should think about it, too. Thought i could be useful - perhaps the copy/past of the transform Points of the camera could be improved
