When using 2D photos to create my characters, what is the minimum resolution quality needed, and which camera should I use to take the photos with?

Hello No minimum resolution, but the better the resolution the better the quality of the project. Experiment with a few pictures and you'll quickly see which resolution images needed to get a good result. Remember t hat the supported image formats are: JPG, BMP and PNG (heads). For the props i think you also can use jpg, bmp, gif, png, tga. Use/try any camera you want/have. tss ( I assume you have cta 2)

72dpi will work for most people. It will show your graphics nice and crisp up to 100%. Any larger you'll start to see blurriness. 120 - 150dpi should be good enough for most higher end scenarios.
