Here it is: my "finished" entry for the Reallusion Game Character Animation contest. Kazhandrah receives a message from her great-grandfather Lheandor Tamarindh. He is dying, and they "need to come together one last time to find and say the final word." This final word will undo the curse that has been put on their world. Kazhandrah is to take her sister Lheandrah as a companion. The film shows the first part of their journey to reach Lheandor.
The movie was animated and rendered in iClone 6 and assembled in Sony Vegas 13. Other 3D tools used: 3DXchange 6 and SketchUp. Audio and music tools: Audacity and Sony Cinescore.
At some point I hope to expand this to tell the remainder of the story.

Nice. Lot of work gone into designing the characters and the props ! A few more CU shots would have paced up the presentation. All the best.

Very nice Sci-Fi animated video. I mean no disrespect, but... I see no "Game Character" animation, though. Thanks, sw00000p. To clarify: the interpretation of the contest was very broad, so it could be based on an existing game or something imaginary. What I've intended to do is a cinematic of a game idea I made up.

Another great project, as usual.
I've always been a fan, especially of your sets, and once again you delivered wonderfully. The detail you add, charming posters on the wall, signs in the background, and lighting are all delightful. And the way the trees lit up while driving through the forest at night was another wonderful touch. You are a master of art direction.
On a side note, when the pod cars first started to drive, I loved the sound. For some reason, I immediately thought of "Johnny Quest" when I heard that sound.

I've been busy this week and haven't had time to thank everyone for the comments. Since I feel the need for some positive thoughts, here goes... @prabhatM: I do appreciate your insight. I'm at a point that I'm starting to feel the lack of a film background, so that's an area for improvement. @Arie: Bedankt voor de punten (Thank you for the points). We'll keep our fingers crossed. There were many good entries. @peterblood: Thank you. I hope to expand the story at some point. @sw00000p: I have actually thought about the game development part in the sense of what challenges the players would have to go through in order to advance. There was no time to do much with those ideas. @Viking: Thank you. "Pod cars", I like that word. I didn't quite know what to call them. As to their sound, I tried all kind of things and I didn't like them. I then came across the sound of a noisy laptop fan and that formed the basis for what it has become (thanks to Audacity).
