When using the Physics Basketball Net & Ball prop (http://city.reallusion.com/ContentPreview.aspx?i=JICd9fce5ad4a4e071b5&g=GS634545170497417354).

I notice every time I press play the net falls down, even when I brought in the infinite plane prop. I also have the soft cloth and rigid body simulation on.
And I also have the nets physic activated.

But when I press play the net just falls from the goal. Should I create a weight map for the net and just have the basketball rigid body simulation on?

If this is the one you are referring to...

Option A is to convert the Net to Soft Cloth and Weight Map it... the Ball is already set to work with that also...
The net itself, needs only One Black Line along the very top row of polys on a Light Grey Background to hold it in place.

-OR-
Switch your Physics Engine to "Bullet" in iClone6;

Record the Physics for the Net and with the Ball Passing through it.
Attach the Ball to the Net and ring as a sub prop with animation recorded.
Save the Set "HoopTubeSoftNet"  - remove or turn it off in the scene.

Then you can switch your Physics Engine back to PHYSX to do other animation needed that requires Physx.
When ready to render, put the Save the Set "HoopTubeSoftNet" back in the project or turn it back on visually.

Bullet Physics and PhysX based props don't play along side of each other in the same session until it's time to tally up for the rendering.  Personally I prefer the accuracy of Bullet Physics over PhysX for Rigid, but PhysX has certain advantages over Bullet for cloth, so it's a toss up.

One uses the playground first (Bullet) Team, then they vacate after the recording is made (Riding the Pines in the Save Folder); the other (PhysX) Team comes in to play it's portion, and do it's recording.

Then the two meet for the comparative scoring to produce the Final Rendering score without conflict on the court (iClone6).

In the end, both can use the same court, just not at the same time. They will render together however, because once BULLET is recorded and saved, it retains the animation if placed into a PHYSX project, without recording over what you already have.
