The project I want to do takes place on a world with a red dwarf sun.
The plants need to be darker toward the red to benefit from the lower spectrum light.
For some things

Ironically, you can do this for everything but the plants in iClone 5. In iC6, we should be able to work with the plant textures as well.

If your bringing in alien plants as your own props, then you will have the ability to edit their textures. The current crop of iTrees are strangely limited versions of old Speedtrees. The iC6 trees will be "proper" Speedtrees.

Anyway, select your prop or avatar and find the "Adjust Color" and "Material" sections. Select the tile for the "diffuse" color (upper left tile) and then use the color adjust sliders in the "Adjust Color" section to change the hew and brightness.

You can also set the underlying material color to change the colors. Usually the material is set to white or light gray, but can be set to anything.
