Hi, nice thing about forum is one can ask dumb questions. Suddenly I've had the thought that CTA2 might be more 3D than 2D by which I mean that perhaps PROPS (along with motions) can be 3D. (A sort of "baby" iclone?) This would mean one would need 3DXchange to do so? Or am I completely in error? (probably). If such IS true, would 3dxchange do the job, or would I need iclone as well? Furthermore, would CTA2 PRO do the trick, or would I require PIPELINE to bring in 3d props? Or, again, am I completely missing things? much thanks, Dave

Vidi, Yes, I think I see what you mean. Thanks for helping me "sound it out." Only the characters, then, which are "faked" by flipping through different perspectives/angles using animation tools. Yes, I think I get it. The character is turning, not the camera around the character. I guess the teaser video, the scene in the forest, sort of had me going for awhile.

... but You can use props as 2.5D Images in CTA that means 2D* Graphics (*x and y axis ) in 3D* environment (additional depth z* axis), like Billboards in iClone

Vidi, can you elaborate/demonstrate a little if you have time? You mean involving the Perspective Settings????
