I began she to modeled in Silo, because Silo was a offer on green light, but I don't like silo. Therefore I switch back to hexagon, and finished there the modeling part
UV mapping is done in UV Layout (it is my choice of Unwrapping) but you can unwrapping in Hexagon and 3D coat too. But UV layout is so nice and easy .
I have painted the texture in 3D coat and she rigged with DAZ studio pro ContentCreator Tools.
But my favor Workaround is in general for organic Modells
+Sculpting from scratch in 3D coat (because I like sulpting more, than moddeling)
+Retopologize my Sculpt in 3D Coat
+Mesh tweaking and additional Modeling in Hexagon
+UV mapping in UV layout
+3D&2D Painting and texture backing in 3D coat
+Rigging in DAZ studio pro
+Re-Targeting Bones and adjust Facials Controlls with xchange 5 pipeline
+Animating in iClone ... export in additional 3D programm eg. Unity
You see no Maya and no Max is needed
