I'll have a go at it... I'm not sure it this question is on-topic or should be in a more "how-to" thread... LIGHTS: Can you ADD MORE lights to iClone? For example, can I have 12 directional/spot lights and 7 point lights? It seems like I get 4 of each, and can modify them, but I don't see a way to add more. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious (which is not uncommon for me).

iClone offers only a total of 8 lights. Users have been asking for more for years, but we still have to put up with what we have. Cutting a production up into short scenes - like "real" movie companies do - and placing the lights as needed can mostly overcome any short comings.

Thanks for the clear answer, Gerry, even though it wasn't good news. At least now I know what I have to work with.

Oh well, maybe a brave soul will jump in with a new question or animation tip anyway. I, for one, won't get mad. P.S. I wish there was a way to see the topics "sub-title" after opening the thread. I only see it when I'm looking at the list of topics in a forum group.

Has anyone setup an extensive interior car view scene in iclone. If so, how did you accomplish reflections in the mirrors? Would love to see some examples.

Here's a great "car" video that was done as part of a Pinhead project. Around 11:45 there are some great reflections in the shiny chrome wheel. The audio is a bit uneven, but it's a great story with great ending. (I'm not fan of the "second ending" but after watching the movie a couple times I really grew to love the first 17 minutes.)

ok, I'll play ...... one of the hardest things I find to do, is to set a good stage and background for a scene. I've come to appreciate how much work goes into design and layout for something that is subliminal yet so in yo face at the same time. Any tips on what makes a good location, and the best practices / theories/concepts to create one ?
