Do try closing down any other open applications or non-essential start-up programs to see if this improves the situation. This is especially important if you do not have a lot of system memory.
Please can you then contact Tech Support using the link below. If you supply your dxdiag.txt file we will be able to check your system for any obvious causes of the problem.
