As an Indian, a quick glance tells me that they are not really sarees except the last link where even the wrapping is wrong.
Saree is a single piece 9 yard cloth. The front Pleate and Pallu ( the last end over the shoulder ) defines the basic wrapping of the saree. There is no separate piece for the head cover in saree. People cover their head with the saree itself.
For some clarification, one may do a google search " how to wrap a saree " or check sites like sareesaheli dot com.
In Pack 1,2 and 3 they are more like Lehenga and Choli Combo ( still needs 10% work ), not saree.
I personally feel there is a demand for technically appropriate Indian Saree, Dhoti ( similar single piece wrap for men ), turbans for farmers / traders / Sikhs, Salwar Kameez, Regular Kurtas ( The one showns are more like Sherwani, not kurta) are needed for people like us who want to focus on the story telling. We are not qualified in costume designing for ICLONE. We want to focus on story telling. So we truely need help in Good Character and costume designs.
I am willing to provide any research help and be a beta tester for a series on India specific products. I believe ICLONE will help people like us to cater the regular animation business where the margin is under tremendous pressure and still tell great stories.
And we too need costumes for telling old Indian Royal as well as spiritual stories. A glimpse of such costumes can be seen in few high quality serials on " Little Krishna" from Reliance BIGANIMATION on YOUTUBE dot com or many such Indian animated series.
I am not criticising the products. I am saying there is a potential for animators from India, Pakistan,Bangladesh,Srilanka to use these products if they are technically appropriate and "usable".
