I found a video tut here in the forums that *almost* addresses this question, but was never fully answered.

I made a head, but then when I saved and loaded it, the durned thing is facing the wrong way. What's fun is that I created it facing the correct way, but it saved itself in a flipped position. I want to flip it back WITHOUT flipping the body and save it.

Please advise!  Thanks.

I do not believe there is any way.  This is also true for props too...

I too ran into this problem but luckily I still had the head saved as a PNG file. I just opened it up in paint and mirrored the head and saved as new. Now I make it a point on saving a left and right head when I add new ones. This will save you a huge headache later on.

I too think that there should be a way within the program to flip head individually.
