I was curious how others felt about characters in CTA, which were more useful in your opinion?

For me, I prefer side view characters, but by side view I actually mean the 3/4 view.  These characters seem to offer much more versatility in animating them than straight on front view characters (or even striaght on side view characters).

A 3/4 view can still walk side to side, and from back to front (albeit at a bit of an angle).  I wish RL would release more characters in this view.  The Cartoon Solution characters don't have a decent 3/4 view, even though they appear as 3/4 view characters.  But they cannot be very well animated with the front view or side view animations because they seem to be a hybrid of the two.

Which view do others prefer, and why?

Both views certainly have their purpose but I do agree the 3/4 view will be used more often. Front facing view can be essential for "presenting" or demonstration" videos but overall the 3/4 view can cover most other needs and for that reason is the most versatile.
