| | If you had previously been running iClone 2.5 and had custom and installed content packs you may be wondering how you can get all your old content into iClone3. Well if you know how to drag and drop in Windows Explorer it can be done in a few minutes because both programs use the same file folder structure. Just copy the content from the iClone2 folders directly over to the same named folder for iClone3. For example Props -> Props, Motion -> Motion. Purchased Content Packs are installed in the locations below: C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 2\Template\iClone Template\ or C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 3\Template\iClone Template\ and your own Custom Content can be found in: Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 2 Custom or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 3 Custom Windows Vista C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 2 Custom or C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 3 Custom Make sure you have backups of your content as a precaution. Also use Copy rather than Move just in case something goes wrong.

| Does this method still work? I have been searching this forum for any mention but I can't find the same template and sample project files and library items in my iClone 3.2 that were in my iClone 2.5. Have I installed something wrong? |

If you wish to copy content you installed for iClone 2.5 to iClone 3.2 then you can copy over the content using the locations listed in the top post as a starting point. The folder structure used is very similar between both versions. So for example you would use Windows Explorer, locate the Props folder of iClone 2.5 and copy all the contents over to the Props folder of iClone 3.2. You can then repeat for characters, accessories, motions etc.
