I think it unlikely that G3 CloneCloth will also be interchangeable with G2 CloneCloth. G3 CloneCloth will use a G3 mesh as the base and maintain the lower polycount and bone structure of the new models. Making it match G2 would in effect make it G2 CloneCloth which defeats the object as we have that already.
