Just a curiosity. I'm sure its on the books but I wanted to know out of interest.
While the innovative lighting in iClone v.2 allows many atmospheric variables and swings at the touch of a button, and not to down tread this in any way, are there plans to make light emission from, say, a candle so that if a candle was on a table it would directionally light faces from its x,y,z, co-ord.
I know that I greedily asked something along these lines before when iClone was a baby in version 1 and we thereafter has flames and such for candles which was a very exiting and amazing step forwards with particle generation. But regarding that object emitting light, is this an algorithmic issue that is an easy programmatic implementation for iClone Studios potential in version 3?

It would be a great addition to iClone. Even more since this program is also intended for filmmaking.

Hello, There are plans for a much improved lighting system for iClone 3. Details of what will be possible will be announce later in the year and suffice it to say, the improvements will more than meet expectation. Thanks for sharing your ideas and keep them coming!
Thanks! John Martin Director of Product Marketing Reallusion, Inc. aka Animize

Thanks for the quick info as always Animize! Just that I was just neck deep in creating an improvised environment of the same result, (actually not that difficult currently as the lighting already allows for below ground level vertical placement anyway) and I could have saved this suite of multi-characters as Project files for that eventuality. It's going to be good to see the new setup. Impatiently.. Armstrong.
