| Hi, Aknzrdude
You can go to "Run..." and input "regedit" to oprn the window "Registry Editor".

You can find iClone3 in the left-nav, and change the path in the highlighted items.
I hope this info helps.
Thanks Visconti

| Recently P. Edwards told me my suggestions were not "normal computer practice"
Now We can read here, the way to change the custom folder is by... ¡Using regedit and changing entries there!
My goodness! Is this "normal computer practice"?
Come on RI readers to this comment.... Create a configuration utility or build it into next updates!
That would be "normal computer practice"

| | ok i just built a new system on Vista 64bit, installed IC3 but now i want to change the custom folder to a different drive than the default - i open up regedit - got to Current User / Software / Reallusion \iClone \ 3.0\ but there is no entry for IC3 custom folder - so i add a new string value, enter Custom Data - and point to my drive location - however this does not seem to work any tips on how to edit the custom folder location?

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of CURRENT_USER. The Custom Data location should be listed there. Remember to change Custom Motion and Shared Custom too. Changing them to the correct locations should do it.

| thanks Pete - i actually started out with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but did not find an entry for Reallusion - so instead went to CURRENT_USER where there is a Reallusion entry
so if there is no Reallusion entry in Local Machine - any ideas/tips?

It seems strange you can find no trace of Reallusion there. Have you tried doing a search of the registry (CTRL-F) to see if you can find it listed elsewhere? Also have you restarted the computer since installing iClone and tried running it with the current default settings? Try this and then check the registry. Good luck.
