| Does Crazy Talk 5 come with the beautiful black model that came with Version 4-4.5?
Can old version 4 ctm files be dragged into model folder of version 5?
I need to know this before buying version 5.
Thanks in advance

| Thanks, Cricky. I just wonder if the beautiful black model is included with CT5. Wish there was a way to find out. Seems like she should be. Is there a place to download extra models?
Right now all my knowledge of CT is from briefly looking at it at a friend of a friend's house. Otherwise I could do some experimenting. So thanks for helping me. I don't want to buy the program and then get stuck.
If I wanted to create a cd with an introduction could I use her without any copyright problems? I presume the built in characters are permissable to use for creating commercial cd's?

| I don't believe the provided characters are permissible as commercial usage. You can use them in personal productions but other than that, Reallusion or the person who created the model owns it and therefore the image itself. There is a Fair Use Policy in the EULA, but it doesn't allow commercial gains on models provided for use to assist new users in gaining experience with the product. Send an email to support@reallusion.com to see what they say.

Hi, The default character from Crazytalk 4 is not included in Crazytalk 5. If you own both products you can simply save the model in CT4 and then copy it from your Crazytalk 4 Custom/Model folder to the Crazytalk 5 Custom/Model folder. To be honest if you wish to make a commercial product then you should use your own images for this purpose to avoid running into copyright problems. Non-commercial is not really a problem. Check out the EULA which contains all the legal requirements. http://www.reallusion.com/Reallusion_EULA.pdf

| I have written twice asking about using the beautiful black model for the cd I want to produce but no reply yet.
Will report when receive answer.
Looks like when you read info off site that models coming with the program are usable by person buying the program. Seems tht that would be so. Are all those packages you can buy only for home use?

| If I am not mistaken, as nicely described by Peter and Cricky, the default content featured in both CT and iClone can be used for non-commercial use only, but not for commercial purpose, BUT the great thing about both programs is that it doesn't require much at all to produce your own characters very easily, which of course can be used in a commercial environment.
There are also some nice face packs for CT available in the Reallusion store of which I am not certain if the author grants commercial usage or not, but might be another option if so.

| Yes, all your guys were right. Can't use the beautiful black female model commerically. Can't even doctor it up.
Since the dvd will pertain to classical music, I think I will just use a picture of Beethoven...this idea thanks to a very knowledgeable and helpful bloke I spoke to at the California office.
So that's the way it goes.
