I was having a problem with IClone crashing after trying to save my anim. I installed the lates and greatest drivers for my NVidia card. Seemed to wrk for a while. Now its been crashing last fews days. Heres the error I get.

Whats up with this sftware. Gets very frustrating. Would like to know what video cards

people are using w/o any problems

Oh and it wont open the file I saved previously. Ive already spent a couple of hours o this proj
and will need to start over.

Personally I still use my trusty Nvidia 7950GT 512mb which has been rock solid with iClone and has never crashed or caused me problems. I always make sure the drivers are up to date and that DirectX is up to date and working faultfree.

I will eventually make the move to a high end series 9 card (or later) by choice rather than need. The 7950GT still works well with games and my other 3D software so right now I'm in no rush to change it.

One thing to be careful with is overclocking and overheating of your graphics card. If it is overclocked and you don't have sufficient cooling you can get some strange and unexplained crashes.

Have you contacted support with this issue. They be able to help:

The 8500GT should give very good results with iClone. I don't think you'll go far wrong with that card.

I see many makers with the same chip set for GT8500 such as Asus, PNY
and MSI among others

Will any of them wrk better? Some range in price from $50 - $150

I don't think the difference between the various makes will be huge but some are better than others. The best way to find out is to search for some reviews of the different cards which contain benchmarks and see.

Quite often though the difference in performance is outweighed by the difference in price.

Today I have to complain about one crash after the other. Sometimes it crashes even when I try to go to the prop tab. Unfortunately there is no error note, so I cannot tell, why it crashes. It worked very well for some weeks. No hardware changes, newest drivers for video card installed. I hope it is only because it is so hot today - or my project has become to big for iClone (I produced scenes that I cut with Magix Video deluxe to a 15 minutes movie ... the rest of my movie project is still in progress).
