| Hi Visconti.... Yes, Exactly like that. It's a great faciity. Is it a "simplistic" possibility within iclone at the merging stage? I can only imagine the programming involved but even so. Neil.

| Hi, Sirf
So, you would like to preview the motion when mouse-over the icon? That's a good thought!
But...it seem not to be realized in the coming version. I will let you know if anything updated.
Thanks Visconti

| | Hello Visconti... I wonder if I could ask- Regarding the Motion Integration Enhancement of V.3 v. V.2.5... Can you even briefly explain how the motion editing will work even as a brief explanation. I ask because certain phases of the work I am involved in demands that (for example) 80% of the time for a 5 minute take is spent in the motion editor. IF... the motion editor is enhanced in such a way that when moving someones hand to pick someone up / something up it can be seen to do so in the Preview window AND IF... the user doesn't have to flick back and forth between the two applications it MIGHT be that my wait for Version 3's enhancements in this arena are justified. IF on the other hand the motion editing is something different, my wait will be foolhardy and I should therefore persevere. Because I do not know the elements of enhancement I am in the dilemma of... "Shall I wait and lose time.. or shall I persevere!!??" Just a little elaboration on the proposed new process would be very helpful for me and perhaps others as serious. Many thanks. Armstrong.

Hi david start saving money now i just upgraded to a 8800 GT - mid range card but awesome performance for gaming and icloning Hi Aknzrdude, Regarding the 8800 (which I believe is their current flagship) I use a 7800 500Mb nVidia. nVidia themselves promote the elements within the chip technology as something worthy of upgrade justification but I wondered, in your experience, and regarding whatever you used before, is there much of a performance difference. Here things run like lightning, or so I imagine. But does the card increase rendering time? Or preview performance? Or drastically both? If yes, it might be worth moving up this small step otherwise I'll wait their next creation. Not being a Graphics Accelerator buffoon I cant differentiate between the technologies of what now ARE as opposed to what was.

| ADDITIONALLY... Visconti... In the next version of iClone can you tel me if the limitation of imported Wave File has limitations? The current 2.5 tells me from time to time that the wave file is exceeding the seconds allowed??? Thanks.

| Character Interaction? - I Wish! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I own the latest version of Antics 3D ( http://www.antics3d.com ). They've excelled at using artificial intelligence to smoothly handle character interaction (like game characters) with objects and with each other but the characters are quite robotic and customizing them is very tough and beyond the average user. Their tools for cinematic productions is half full. This is probably iClone's weakest machinima feature. There's lots of glamour and glitz with more coming in version 3 but substantive tools to build story lines not constrained by software functionality just isn't there and it frustrates. I don't want to build one man/woman music videos. I have to go through countless hoops and tricks to make the characters understand that they're not the only bucket of bytes on the screen and I have to micro manage every move and expression and word. Even a little collision detection with their own body or other objects would help! It's embarrassing and limiting to have a character effortlessly move their arm through their own torso or (oops) walk right through their co-star. |

| Hi guys,
I'm a new kid on the block, with a few suggestions. It would be really cool if we could assign motion loops (like walking , jumping, idle, etc) to a game pad or keys on the keyboard that would allow us to move the character realtime and record the broad strokes of the actions we want, and them take that to the motion editor for fine them.
what do you think?
