Visconti a few freatures that would be cool to have and may not be captured yet
1) independent lighting - right now lighting is global - meaning that changing properties of one light affects the whole scene. I'd like to be able to add a separate light to illuminate only a portion of the scene
2) Copy texture/object - allows me to copy a texture and apply it to another object in the scene - and maybe i missed this - is there a save texture function? (saves diffuse, opacity, glow and reflect maps)?
3) animatable textures (rotoscoping) so we can map avi onto objects as textures
4) crowd generation function - take an object and replicate it x number of times
5) raytrace engine

Hi, Gabe
Thanks for the request. Here are some feedbacks to you.
1) independent lighting - This can be done in 3.0 for sure because the flexible control of the light source in part.
2) Copy texture/object - This is a very exciting feature to have a custom texture library. But this case is still in debate to be included in th spec of 3.0.
3) animatable textures (rotoscoping) Yes. 3.0 will support animatable textures. As to "rotoscaoping", you can refer to this page. It should be met in motion editor NOW. http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/icme_keypose-editing.asp

4) crowd generation function - Undecided
5) raytrace engine You can achieve the same result in our new rendering system (3.0).

Timeline: The ability to edit and copy timeline activity from one single item on the timeline to another separate item (i.e. duplicate actions for multiple props).
Able to select a sequence on the timeline and reverse the sequence after copy / paste.
Rendering: Disable the View screen while rendering as an option to restore additional video resources to the export rendering possibly speeding up the export process. - OR - Possibly an external process altogether where the rendering can be done with iClone closed and rendering accomplished with an external executable.
Selection (Right Panel): Retain it's view properties when iClone is restored instead of having to choose the view option each time iClone is closed and re-opened. (Options: Large Thumb, Small Thumb, and Details) I prefer details, so I can sort by name, date, etc.. Perhaps be able to set this as a Default file view option in preferences.
On the same line of thought the File type: iClone VNS is unnecessary; all the file type items are iClone files.
Preference settings: Retaining last settings used for things such as render size, FPS, Quality, etc., while still retaining the current menu options to change them to other settings if desired.
Apply imported textures in 3dXchange as well as the current options of color to individual nodes.

| hi visconti - i was hoping rotoscoping can be applied to textures - example i can map an avi onto a tv prop so it canbe part of the scene.
