Crazytalk 5 scripts do not work with iClone 2.5. They will be fully compatible with iClone 3.0 when it is released next month. Only scripts created in Crazytalk 4.x will work with iClone 2.5.

His question wasn't answered. I have spent almost 2 hours trying to figure this out, and still don't have a solution. I have already added the sound file and expression style in iClone. Under Facial Animation I clicked the launch button under the CrazyTalk subpanel. I edited my facial animation in CrazyTalk5.1 Pro and now can't figure out how to get it back to iClone3 Pro. Under the export tab I can only select video or a raster image format. I can save my project as a .ctp...wait....HAHAHAHAHAH I figured it out!

Here is how you do it:

1. Click the CrazyTalk "Launch" button in iClone under Facial Animation.

2. Crazytalk will load your audio and any setting you added from iClone.

3. Edit your animation in CrazyTalk.

4. Here is the tricky part. You don't "Export" the animation; you save the "script".

5. Click the Script tab at the top then click the "Custom" sub tab.

6. Create a new folder and rename.

7. Then click the "Add" button at the bottom of this panel and rename the script.

8. Go back to iClone program.

9. Under Animation>Facial Animation open up the content manager.

10. At the bottom of the content manager panel is an add button, click it. this should refresh your panel and like magic you will see the new folder you created and the script inside.

11. Now just dbl-click it while your model is selected and the facial animation will be applied.

I hope this helps save someone else 2 hours of production time, Geesh!

This work flow is awkward to say the least. I have experience with many 3D animation programs, video editing and multimedia programs. The logical work flow would be if a button such as "Launch" takes you somewhere, ONE button should take you back! (Import--->Export, get the logic). At the very least, consistency in the program would be nice. I see a Launch buttons elsewhere, alongside of update, open, delete, and save buttons. This panel needs to be updated I think...

The original question was referring to using Crazytalk 5 scripts with iClone 2.5. It wasn't referring to iClone3 which is why I said it wouldn't work. Thanks for replying though.
