I really like how iclone works and so I bought it.
Like many users, I desired to do more in developing changes in characters, scenes and props.
So I found the 'Developers Center' and as a 'premium member' I qualify to use it and do it, but I am totally lost.
I must be blind or stupid. No where can I find how to use the plugins mentioned on these webpages such as 3ds max or maya. I seem to have stumbled upon autodesk's website.
Do I need to buy their software in order to be a 'developer' for iclone???
Where does it tell anyone what to do on reallusion's site?
I must be dense!
Someone please enlight me...

The answer to this question is no.
You can only obtain the vns exporter for 3ds Max if you submit to the Reallusion store as a Developer. You can create G2 textures using the Clone Cloth from Reallusion.......and you might want to have a look at 3dxchange too. It converts 3ds and obj to vns format
Hope this helps.

I haven't bought anything from reallusion or any other store that keeps the plug-ins under lock & key.

Someone please enlight me... mikecompetillo@hotmail.com Hi Mike, The easiest way to get into developing content for iClone is by starting with texture making. This only requires an Image Editor and a basic understanding of texture mapping and you can get started. There are guidelines in the developer center that explains this process. Take a look at the links below. These should help you. http://www.reallusion.com/developer/Submit_G2.aspx http://developer.reallusion.com/submit_intro.aspx#guide
