| Is there any way to beg and plead for it to be released exactly at midnight on 8/8?
I'm on Hughesnet, we're only allowed to download big files between 3am and 6am without being throttled down to 2kps for 24 hours for exceeding their limits (yes, it's horrible but it's the only high speed internet out my way), so an early release and purchase on the 8th would mean I'm not dying all day on the 8th until I can download it.
And second question:
Will clothing creation be easier with Iclone3?
Right now I'm designing everything in Virtual Fashion Pro, exporting to Poser 7, rendering then taking the photos to paint shop pro to bring into iclone2. I'd love to save a step and wish there were a plugin for poser to take a snap shot of front and back and bring into iclone3.

| jpiazzo (7/26/2008) One more quick question...
Are there any new features (such as character interaction, body part adjustment, look at) that will NOT work with G2 characters? One thing that can't be done with a G2 character (head) is add the preset head morphs such as alien, anime etc. These have to be applied to a G3 head. Pretty much everything else can be done to all characters.

Hi, I doubt it will be released at exactly midnight on 8/8. Besides what is midnight for one will be a completely different time for others around the world. Clothing creation is still the same in iClone 3 with regards to CloneCloth but there will be some additional benefits from having normal maps and connectivity with Zbrush. The full details on this feature has yet to be released though.

| Well thanks for the quick response. A guy can hope, can't he? I'm already driving everyone crazy like a 7 year old waiting for Christmas around here. "I know, Iclone3 comes out on 8/8/08 and your world will be blown, WE GET IT!" has been said at least once.

| I know how you feel James. I'm buzzing about the release too. This is an incredible new version of iClone and I'm really looking forward to all your reactions when it is released in just 11 days time.

| | Do you have any more info on the new head morphing tools. Did they put the cartoon style in there. Haven't heard much about that, any pictures besides the one in the press release. Thats what I'm mostly interested the character creation tools thanks from Ken. |

| Wow. Looked like Darth Malak on the login screen (since I hadn't used this forum in a long time). Long time user (and lurker). I did a search but probably fudged it. Questions:
1. Multi-CPU aware, and uses it? I've updated my rig for other modelers and render engines (all non-realtime). Be nice if I got a little mileage out of my quad.
2. Probably a 32 bit app, but I'm hoping behaves well in a 64 bit Vista env?
3. 3dxchange. With the new camera and lighting system (thank you! reallusion) I can start using the prog again, but I want to bring in custom objects. Works great with 2.5. Will it with 3.0?
Looks like a great upgrade to one of my favorite programs and one very much anticipated. The money has almost left the pocket any number of times this past year - but I knew at some point you'd release a new version. Just didn't know if it would catch my interest. It does.
