I can see no one from Reallusion has commented this thread. Hey moderators and Reallusion staff.... We need your comments to this thread! Indeed!!!!

Hi,

I have commented on the two other threads which dealt with this same subject. You can check them out from the links below.

http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic4898-11-1.aspx

http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic4498-13-1.aspx

Posting on different threads on the same subject makes it hard for everyone to keep track so it is best to try and keep discussion in the one location. If you find you are not getting an answer you can use the Search button as there may be an answer in another thread. Thanks.

Sorry if this started something I simply wanted to know why the motion files I create showed in iclone but i could not get them in the editor to reuse or add to, I figured I was just doing something wrong, where this went to left field somehow I will never know. I appreciate the help from all and this problem is not a big one I can work around. The program is great and IC3 looks to be even greater can't wait.

No need to apologize. Your points were well made. Its normal for threads to off on a tangent and nothing to worry about.

With the release of iClone 3.0 the Motion Editor will no longer be needed as all motion editing can be done directly from the preview window in iClone itself. This should make problems like you mentioned a thing of the past.

It's me again with a question.

How can I make a head turn from the left side to the ride? I want my character to look from one person standing on his left to one standing on his right side and only the head should move (not the whole character), but cannot find out how to make this in motion editor. I tried to spin the head joint and the neck joint and the chest joint but it wouldn't solve my problem. The only solution I found is to make the whole character turn from one side to the other. But that is not what I want because it looks unnatural.

if you are creating the motion insert current pose edit right click to the left right arrow and turn to the position you need then go to the point on the timeline just b4 you need the head to turn insert current then just past insert again then edit head and the arrow should stay in the left right position and move the head to the other side. if you are doing this in a motion exsisting try insert current pose move head then use copy joint paste relative and continue. the only problem inside a motion already created is if there is head movement already copy joint does not completly work with head movement already embedded. but i at least hope i helped you.

i created this topic and thought there was a simple answer to my question and there was thanks to DUCHESS at the coolclones wed site. just create the motion export to iclone reload in motion editor then merge and save to a folder or create a new folder very simple very easy unlike opening the motion up in a text editor and changing the vns number so thanks for everybodys help but i will use the easy route and with IC3 around the corner it most likely want even matter.
