Hello,
I installed the trial version today. Installing was not a problem but starting the software unfortunately was/is. Mostly it says "error occured", but sometimes I am lucky and iclones trial version starts and I can work with it. But unfortunately it crashes without a warning after a while.
The hardware should be no problem - the check was okay (my computer is 6 month old and I installed all updates of Vista and drivers). Maybe Windows Vista Premium Home Edition or the Quad Core CPS causes the problem? Do you think the full version runs more stable?
What I found out about iclones is so fascinating and I hope I can make it work properly on my computer.
If you need more information to help me, please let me know.
Thank you in advance.

(Sorry for my bad English - I am no native speaker.)

Hi,

Do you know which graphics card you have in your computer? Is it ATI, Intel or Nvidia? There are some known problems with ATI cards that may be affecting you.

If you can supply a little more information then we may be able to help.

Thanks for supplying that information.

You should be able to run iClone with that card without problems. Have you installed the latest drivers from Nvidia? If you are still using the ones that shipped with the computer that could be the problem.

http://www.nvidia.com

Other than that I would try contacting technical support to see if they can help you out. Please use the support form link below to contact them and please try to supply the information requested on that page to speed up a resolution.

Okay, I tried to update automatically right now and it says the driver I use is perfect. But when I checked the Nvidia homepage now it seems they released a new driver some days ago. I hope this will fix the problem.

I also checked the internet for information and found a patch made by "xxxxxx". Do you know this patch? I didn't install it yet.

I would not use any form of patch made by that source. These are normally illegal cracks used for software piracy and may well do more damage than good to your computer.

Just try updating all your drivers to the latest possible and make sure that DirectX is working correctly. You can do this by typing DXDIAG in the Run bar.

Also remember to contact support if the problem persists. They can offer more help and analyze your DirectX log for possible causes.

Thank you for your tipps.
I checked my system via DXIAG - no problems detected.
All drivers are up to date.

When I make a new installation of iclones and let the installation routine launch the programm it starts without problems (but somestimes it crashes while working and pressing a 'wrong' button.
I download the trial version again. Maybe that can help.
I already send my problem to the technical support and hope they have a solution for me.

Besides my technical problem iclones is great.

Problem solved - it seems I first downloaded an old trial version that doesn't work with Vista. Now I downloaded another one and it works fine.

Thank you for your help.
