| iClone seems to give me a lot of control of lighting in the scenes, except I don't seem to ba able to control the lighting level of the sky. So in a 3D scene which has a sky dome over it, how do I control the lighting of the dome texture? e.g. I want to make a night scene, it seems I can darken everything except the sky.

Hey TonyM,
I found a couple of ways to make great night scenes. First way is to dim the ambient light and add a black fog. Not the environment fog, but the other. Light, Medium or Heavy depending on how dark you want it and what 3d scene you are using. Some scenes with light and medium black fog have great dusk look. Another way is to add another dome and enlarge it to fit your scene. Texture with any stars or night jpeg you have.

| Hi Tony, If you have 3DXchange you easily edit the skydome to create any time of day. It is simply a case of changing the material color to darker or lighter tones. You can also make red skies and other unusual effects by changing specularity, opacity etc. Below is an image showing a daylight 3D scene edited with 3DXchange to make a dusk/night scene.
