| Despite checking the "foot sliding removal" option, my characters still seem to walk with sliding feet. Now obviously if the character is animated but not moving across the scene, the feet will slide. This suggests that there needs to be some correlation between the speed at which the character's walking motion is aminated and the speed at which the character moves across the scence. Has anyone got any tips on how to match these so the look is natural?

I don't use the foot sliding removal. In some cases, it changes the motion itself. So far i found that the best setting for walking, depending on which walk you are using, is to set the character on the timeline about 1-2 thousand frames apart. Slow down the motion (there is the slider under Motion-Edit for speed) or use the Motion Editor and drag out the motion then save it. Takes a couple of minutes to find the right speed, but once you do, it works well.

| Hi, If you take a look at the post below you will see a simple walk setup to follow. Give it a go and see if it solves your problem. Once you master it its easy to get your character to move anywhere you want. http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic4077-5-1.aspx tonym (6/26/2008) Despite checking the "foot sliding removal" option, my characters still seem to walk with sliding feet.
