Hi,

Can I create my own 3d text in iClone?

If not, can someone point me to a good tutorial to do it in Photoshop?

Thanks much.

Hi,

There isn't a 3D text maker built into iClone but there are a number of ways you can use text in iClone.

You can edit the SFX logos to make some nice text effects. Have a look at the link below which explains a little more.

http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic3857-5-1.aspx

You can also edit the opacity maps of props such as boxes, walls etc to make text objects.

Also with products such as Reallusions own Effects 3D Studio you can create 3D Text and bring this into iClone. Most 3D Modellers have a text maker facility so if you have 3DXchange you can import text models created in 3rd party programs into iClone quite easily.

I totally agree with Peter,

Effect3D Studio
gives you the power to create stunning 3D text objects simply by typing in your text. 3D text objects can be created using any font type installed on your system, giving you the ability to support any foreign language character set.

You can save text as a new 3D object, and add to your object gallery and in iClone, You can import Effect3D objects and use them as props in your projects.
