point taken on this being wishfull features and yes more motions is always welcomed
the disgreement was with characterization of the movies being better than iclone -
i've used both, but the limitations of the movies immediately reared its head - can't get away from spastic motions just trying to set up simple conversations, or having the exact same scenes, movements as another person -
i do think the movies is great for setting up background scenes, fillers, and even creating character faces i can map to iclone

Of course I have viewed iClones on Youtube - to be honest, I just haven't been too impressed on what I've seen, which means the real movie makers out there haven't been flocking to the program for one reason or another. My recommendations would help open the program to a larger audience.
Maybe you two aren't understanding that providing critical feedback in a forum titled, "WISHFUL FEATURES - CRAFT YOUR DREAM TOOL," isn't sufficient. Hmm, again, the title of this forum and the subject we should discuss is "WISHFUL FEATURES - CRAFT YOUR DREAM TOOL."
One more time for clarity, WISHFUL FEATURES - CRAFT YOUR DREAM TOOL.
Do you guys get it yet??? No. Hmmm. Well, I'll restate it. My wishful features include better presets that would give more flexibility to making movies better and faster. I don't necessarily want to waste a few hours to make every single basic motion that I need for a movie. Instead of doing that, I can get on with movie making using iClones and all of the other cool features. I'm not asking to change the motion editor so that you remove flexibility, I'm asking to include a larger range of presets?
Have you guys ever used a program like After Effects? Just wondering, because the addition of presets is always at the top of user's wish list. Actually, this is what makes the program AWESOME. Really it is. This is why sites like videocopilot have exploded. People can stop spending 20 hours figuring out every single detail and can focus on making cool effects quickly that will enhance the movie making experience, and overall, make a more enjoyable viewing experience for the intended audience. Presets in many programs are very useful. They help you get somewhere without having to reinvent the wheel each time.
I guarantee you are in the minority. The reason is because the minority have already purchased the software. The real money for reallusion rest in the audience that hasn't caught on and purchased for one reason or another. My wishlist is that they include more presets that fullfill the same need as did THE MOVIES Presets. I'm not asking for presets only. I'm asking for more genre presets. Again, more presets. Stated again, more presets for the hard of hearing. This would make me happy. This is my wishlist. Wishlist is the topic of the forum. If more people buy and enjoy the program, the community grows. That is what I would like to see. That is what I wish for.
Dude, you keep saying that you don't want to argue. I'm not arguing. I'm stating my wish list and providing good solid examples of what the possible effect on the product could be, which are all very positive. This forum topic is titled WISHFUL FEATURES - CRAFT YOUR DREAM TOOL.
You really are becoming quite annoying with your deliberate provoking for a response and constant disrespect of what iClone members have been trying to do since iClone 1.0.
You said in your first post:-
admiral202 (6/15/2008) Another area that surprised me with iClones is the lack of fight motion presets, or really, any valuable range of motion presets to make a full movie - dancing is not really that great for moving making. Reallusion must understand that many of us use other machinima tools such as The Movies. The Movies has a huge list of presets as a video game not originally designed for strict machinima; however, even though it's been out for quite some time, it still has a huge following.
I wish the development team would consider iClones as a machinima movie making tool their primary goal.
Action Motion Presets that should be standard for a tool designed to make machinima requires preset animations for drama, action, horror, sci-fi, and at least comedy. They should be split into such categories. Someone at Reallusion, please go view the motion presets for The Movies and make some additions to 3.0!
I understand what you mean by presets and I don't agree, simple! However as you point out this forum is about what members want and you have asked for presets.
Regarding After Effects, yes I have used it and all my motion graphics and special effects shots are compiled with this application.
Now please leave you wish list on the forum, let Reallusion decide if they wish to implement it and try not to alienate other members by posting as if they're stupid.

I did not ask for a response at all. This was a Wishful Features thread where I list my wishful features. Gosh, I keep repeating that.
If it annoys you, why do you insist on responding after indicating that your last post was already up - and you had moved on? And, why do you also deem it necessary to make forceful and asinine comments such as, "Now please leave you wish list on the forum, let Reallusion decide if they wish to implement it and try not to alienate other members by posting as if they're stupid." No one suggested they are stupid, except you in that statement. It should be obvious that they are deciding what to do with their own product, as I do not work for them. Why are you so angry? Maybe it's all those long hours spent trying to make the arm go this direction when you meant that direction? I have no idea?
I have good points, and I backed them up with a post from another veteran user, along with references to other programs, so I'm not sure why that seems to insult you, or web rage you out, or whatever.
If my suggestions irritate you, why don't you just place me on your ignore list, or something instead of attacking my ideas?
This doesn't annoy me at all. These are my wishful features. Maybe I'll make an iClones series about it and a character with your viewpoint can star in it too!
You are AWESOME! Again, thanks for your comments. They reaffirm my wishlists wishes.
