| Stability, that's what I want! Test away until there are no bugs. I would like to start a project but I am waiting for more details about compatibility with what I have purchased already.
Any comments concerning any of this? |

| | Hi Everyone. Thanks for your patience as we fine-tune iClone 3. Certainly, the wait has been long and soon we'll be ready to unveil the evolution. More screenshots, video examples and feature details are going to publish in the coming days. The update on the launch of the software will be the first week in August. Hang tight and stay tuned for more updates. |

| Seriously, August now . . . . enough already! I've been standing by for this upgrade so long I've gone from excited, through disappointed to where now I've just lost interest.
I spent what I consider a large chunk of money for what was supposed to be a cool hobby. Then you started taunting us with grand tails of great things to come. All the while making it clear you'll be reaching back into my wallet IF you ever do actually deliver on a single promise.
I'd have been perfectly happy with incremental upgrade for 2.5. In fact as I said months ago, if you beefed up the motion editor so I don't feel like I'm waiting on one of the pee and pray pregnancy tests every time I try to move a character, I'd be deliriously happy. In fact, I'd pay a few more of my hard earned dollars just for that. With a decent motion editor, I could start having fun with iClone 2.5.
Now it's "August" and you are still not saying anything about pricing. The fact you're not offering a break for pre-orders tells me
1. You're not going to give those of us that bought from you before a discount worth mentioning.
2. You don't have confidence in your ability to actually deliver on any of these promises anytime soon. |

| | Hi Rock, Sorry to hear you are feeling disappointed with the release date of iClone 3.0. It's a bit of no win situation for Reallusion really because when no information is given there are constant calls for a release timeframe. When July was given it was done so in good faith but it was an estimated date because at that time development was still in full flow. Now at the end of the day iClone 3.0 can't be released until it is ready because again there would be an outcry if it was released to meet a certain date but was full of bugs. I can tell you that nobody is sitting around killing time. The team is working flat out to get this amazing new version of iClone to you as soon as possible. Next week will see the first official updated information on iClone 3.0 so please check back then and see what is coming and what iClone 3 can do for you. I know it is annoying to see release dates change but sometimes it is inevitable I'm afraid. This is only ever done to bring you the best product possible. Thanks for your feedback.

| Peter,
You missed a key point. Moving release dates because development over promised happens all the time. That's only a symptom of the problem that's eroded my confidence.
I'll try to explain.
What's eroded my confidence is Reallusion's inability to provide information for one thing. The other is the sales department. If a sales department looks at a product as great as the one you've described is just around the corner they immediately start a full court press on sales.
Pinnacle Studio offered a handsome discount two months before Studio 12 came out. They even said in their pre-release offer that actual deliver date could vary significantly. But see their sales people were confident it would happen. The company itself knew that by offering loyal existing customers a discount they'd keep their market base and make even more money on add-ons etc. I just use them as an example near and dear to Reallusion, not revolutionary, just standard marketing and sales.
Now inversely a sales team isn't going to start pushing something until they believe development is actually going to deliver sometime in the near future.
I also don’t really need to hear how hard the team's working. They're not doing it for free and I've shown my appreciation and respect for they're work over a thousand times over $$.
You want to impress your existing client base and really see how well you can expect 3.0 to do? Email us an exclusive limited time offer to buy in advance for a significant savings. Sadly, given the prices in the Reallusion Content Store I don't expect to see any such thing or to get much of a discount at all. It's much more likely I'll find another hobby because this one's turned out to be too expensive and actually kind of frustrating. |

| | Hi Rock, Your points are well made and thank you for giving the feedback. I can't really speak for sales and marketing but I think a decision was made to wait until everything was in place before official announcements were made as to release dates and pricing. People react to these kind of decisions in different ways. While some will want early information on release dates, pricing and be understanding if things change, others will want fixed dates that they can rely on to be accurate and get angry when things get postponed. As I mentioned before you really can't please everyone sadly. I fully understand your unhappiness but I do hope you will give iClone 3.0 a chance. Official information will begin next week so hopefully you will get the answers you need then. Thanks again for sharing your views. I appreciate you taking the time to explain your feelings.

| Hey Rock don't give up yet! But I know exactly where you are coming from.
Iclone's a cool program right? If it would just do this or that a little better......AHHH!!!!
These types of programs drive me crazy, they show so much promiss..but often fall short just enough in certain areas to keep you on the edge of your seat for the next great fix.
Peter is right, you can't make all users happy...I for one do not care if they made a big pre-buy offer because I would never buy software at this stage of development before it is released and reviewed. That is not a knock at Iclone - few companies (mabe Adobe, or Auto Desk, or even Pinnacle) have the kind of track record that can get my money in advance of a release. In fact, an August release of 3.0 means I may not take the dive until October (or at least until I hear from alot of users about true funtionality and stability. Until then I will just mess around with other programs like Moviestorm and Antics3D along with Iclone...somebody is going to hit that sweet spot of funtionality and features soon.
I am pulling for Iclone frankly - I like this program alot. And 3.0 sounds like a KILLER upgrade.
I'll hang in there, but I do look forward to a list of features soon.
