If  I load a world wilderness scene and then add a sunset prop,

it doesn't show up. What's the trick?

It works OK if I load only a character and then the sunset.

Load the sky and under Props > Modify, check the xyz lock and reduce to about 45%.  Your sky dome will show up and you can adjust the setting to suit
