| This is the cloth/hair dynamics controllers from the company that invented it.http://http.download.nvidia.com/developer/SDK/Individual_Samples/MEDIA/Video/Samples/Cloth.wmv http://developer.download.nvidia.com/SDK/10/direct3d/Source/Cloth/doc/Cloth.wmv]. These controllers can be adjusted to effect hair and cloth with wind volocity peramitters and automaticly calculated collision detection. The following links are to give the forum members an idea of what tools are available in realtime rendering advancements so as to understand what has already been achievedhttp://http.download.nvidia.com/developer/SDK/Individual_Samples/samples.html, where realtime stands todayhttp://developer.download.nvidia.com/SDK/10/direct3d/samples.html, and where it's headedhttp://www.reallusion.com/iclone/. Download the full SDK for Drect X 10http://developer.nvidia.com/object/sdk_home.html and Direct X 9 on downhttp://developer.nvidia.com/object/sdk-9.html,so you can give all of the available tools a spin for yours. Which ever ones don't load means your graphics card, not your entire computer is obsolete to these advancments, you may have to upgrade, but this is the best way to test your graphics card for everything available in terms of realtime rendering. Visconti, Reallusion should also seriously consider upgrading their renderer to utilize the latest Direct X 10 advancments featured in the link above. HOW ABOUT SOME REPLYS FROM THE FORUM???
How about some Dynamics controller options implemented in the next installment of iClone, that can be applied to things like long hair, draped clothing, and ropes, chains ect. The computer game Worlds of Warcrafthttp://www.machinima.com/film/watch&id=22095 characters exhibit great example of these dynamic controls in action. The automaticly calculated secondary motions of these dynamics greatly improves the engaging lifelike actions of the avatars preformances. Would you agree?
This is a pre-rendered example of the secondary motion I'm refering to http://www.hash.com/amfilms/search/entry.php?entry=911&act=launch&Friend=0&ts=1191287282 Notice the lifelike secondary motion of the feathers, the earrings, and of course the boobies. Now compare http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcgIJ-UkCN8. Notice the staic hair. These secondary motions can now be sucessfully created in realtimehttp://www.machinima.com/film/watch&id=2916. Notice the cape, the kilt, and even his lil' ol' ears have more life than the previous example....let the polls begin!!!

Actually, real time rendering is G.P.U reliant. Which means iClones renderer should be up to par with the latest releases of shader and vertex graphics programming languages. And if nearly every character has this effect implemented on W.O.W., which is a video game (a few years old mind you), then I'm quite sure a pro grade specialized program such as iClone can handle this with no problem, as well as any other effect that is seen in recent video game releases, which are real time rendered on the fly by proprietary core renderer a similar to iClones
