| Hi everybody, I understand all of iClone's upperbody, lower body etc. I understand the launch button. Then I see in Photo Paint Pro (for instance) the upperbody of Jane (front and back). I don't understand how to select the object. I've seen many clips and it looks very easy to fill the front and back with black and white or to cut out some parts. But when I try, I don't succeed. Maybe you can help me or give me a link to a website or clip? Thanks in advance!! John

| one you open the textures, you are working with an image so can't really select the objects in the way i think you are referring to. what i would do is create a new layer over the image and use that layer to 'paint/design' the clothing, following the contours of the image - then when you are done, delete the image underneath and all you have left is the layer you created. sane the image and use it as your diffuse layer.

| Hi, It just sounds like you need to brush up on the basics of your image editor. It is things like using layers and selecting areas with a tool like the Polygonal Lasso Tool that you need to learn. It may have a slightly different name in your software. It will also depend on which version you are using to decide what to search for but may want to take a look at some basic tutorials, which are easily found by doing a search on the net through Google etc. Here for example are a couple of tutorials I found for earlier versions of Paint Shop Pro. http://www.mardiweb.com/web/layers/layers.htm http://www.grafx-design.com/21psp.html Once you get the hang of using your image editor you should have no problems creating new outfits for your characters in iClone.
