| Cool, real cool! Great job, Stinky! Good writing, too. You guys have me convinced. I gotta get iClone. But I am still going to wait for the new version for reasons already stated above.

| After looking at a variety of the iClone and CrazyTalk tutorials, I still have the same opinion. The tutorials are a weak link in the Reallusion marketing mix. What tutorials you have are good, but they are not a complete showing of all that these programs can do. I just bought the CrazyTalk 5 SFX V2 pack. What was left out of the advertizing is the fact that very few of the cool effects that are in the example videos, are actually a part of the package. Apparently, one is required to create their own stuff like microphones and newscaster title screens, in a separate graphics package. Well, this is not too difficult to do but a bit of a let down from enthusiastically buying the package and then (surprise!) finding that the needed graphics and the demonstrated graphics aren't in it. And this wasn't mentioned in the sales copy, but just left as a poor surprise. Although I still intend to buy the new version of iClone when it comes out, I am of the same opinion of Reallusion products as I had when I tested the iClone 2.5. And that is, Reallusion has some great products but doesn't bother to do the necessry steps in creating proper educational and training materials for their customers and potential customers. Again, I recommend the Lynda.com people to help you with this. Those people are experts at tutorials. I've learned some of the most complicated programs with ease from studying their tutorials. I mention them for this reason, but also because I am looking forward to using iClone 3 but fear the learning curve resulting from your incomplete tutorial lineup. Also, Reallusion would have instant access to Lynda.com's millions of customer data base to promote your product. Best Wishes.

| I don't think it's as difficult as poser which i own, but the tutorials are really crappy. Many things are left out. For example, they talk about linking characters to objects or characters but don't tell you how to make 2 characters communicate or interact with each other in 1 scene. They don't tell you how to make them do basic motions, they don't tell you how to make horses gallop. If I am going to invest more into packs i need a basic concept on how 2.5 studio works. I was not smart enough to do the trial version first. I bought it and the tech support help desk is not that helpful thus far. They have many packs but most of which I'm not interested in. I want to create films that's like 007,Bourne identity, Friday 13th, hostel, Freddy grugger, mortal kombat, Bruce lee, etc. Why not have martial arts, horror, spy packs?

| I agree that the tutorials are a bit weak when it comes to specifics, but I guess the versatility of the program would make it impossible to cover everything in detail. I use the tutorials to see generally how to do stuff and then use trial and error to do the specifics - and as we all know - bug the life out of everybody on this forum to tap into their expertise. Half of the fun of I-Clone, for me, is working out ways to overcome the "How to..." and seeing how skill and confidence improve over time. And also, download the ready made free projects from the I-Clone site and from such other sites as Freedom Forum and Cool Clones, which can then be disected to see exactly how they have built their scenes and how amendments affect them. I have found this way to learn I-Clone a lot easier than trying to follow the manual and tutorials because I could see step by step how the changes I made looked on screen against a ready made background of characters, props etc. Hope this have given you some ideas of other places to look to inmprove your I-Clone skills. Rich.
