| | Seeking clarity on using Reallusion software. Am I free to commercialize content that I create with with Reallusion software? Say I produce a video and use iClone4 and Widgetcast and popVideo to create a final product that teaches someone how to use sign language classifiers which is a complex skill. Would I be free to market this production? May seem like an odd question but let's just say a completely different vendor hindered a past effort of mine so now I'm asking ahead of time. |

The agreement that pops up when you install is in legalize and that's a language I don't speak. So an answer in clear concise English would go a long way. Thanks for asking the question. Hopefully, you will get a quick response. sjonesdc

| | This is quoted in the EULA "You may generate, sell and redistribute your movies created with iClone and/or CrazyTalk with full ownership and use-rights to the output media in Image or Video format within the output guidelines of this agreement". | | Thank you for the response. I've printed the EULA out for study and hope the legalese one poster referred to all to accurately is comprehensive to me. Again thank you for the response. |

| One thing that sort of bugs me is that it appears I'm to include the Reallusion logo in my productions. I'm not against giving credit where credit is due but I'm also not in favor of informing potential competitors of my educational productions how to compete with me.
I don't have the financial resources some of my competitors have access to so giving them an even bigger advantage is detrimental my efforts to realize maximum profit fro my work. this the question, Is it mandatory to include the Reallusion logs in my work? |

| I´m with you on that one. I hope its not mandatory...when i bought it i tought it was not.
If i use Adobe Premiere or 3d studio max to make a movie, i don´t have to put their name in my credits. If that´s not the same with iclone then i see not a great future to this app as a professional tool. It would be a pity if it was mandatory to credit them...and stupid. I would really like an answer on that too. |

| This seems to be a serous concern for those of us creating productions intended for sell. Now, in my case the issue is using props very much like those shown in the demo movie of the magician. Since among other things I'd use such objects to help illustrate how to produce sign language representations of objects and shapes, it looks like I'd have to either haggle with the copyright thing or place the Reallusion credit into the work. Now, as I stated before, giving credit where it's due is only fair but this also forces me to reveal "trade" secrets to my competitors who have access to far more funding than I do. Something that doesn't work to my benefit.
I hope I get a suitable answer to this concern because I was al set to buy several Reallusion products important to my work. |

| | That old discussion wasn't particularly clear either... Giving credit is different from including a logo, by the way; credit can take many forms. The way I read it is that you can not take credit for the built-in unmodified iClone characters, but if you don't claim that you designed them yourself you seem to be OK.

| agree with zuijlen my take is what you make is yours- you can credit anyone you want - any default character that comes with iclone you can share but not sell and must credit reallusion but if you use them in a movie, no need to credit RL
