| I have been experimenting with the various export options and have confused myself! AVI seems very jerky. It doesn't play smoothly at all, then it suddenly goes high speed as if catching up. MP4 won't play at all on my machine. Some of the WMV files give a fuzzy off-centre pic like a rolling TV (for those of us that remember the old-style tuners) while others look like a monet painting! To be honest, I haven't tried RM - Is this Real Media? I don't have that on my machine, but is it a shareable format? I want to be able to upload the video onto You-Tube, and maybe my own website (if I ever get it finished!). Please could you tell me the best format/settings to achieve a watchable clip in this situation. To be honest, my comp is STILL down, so I have "borrowed" a lap-top from work. It is only about a year old, but as it is supposed to be used for MS Office and databases etc. it may not have the best graphics card and other internal components for 3d animation - so that could be a factor.

| Hi Lionheart, maybe you're AVI's are uncompressed. try a compressed setting if that is the case. indeo or intel, you probly need to download and install some of the latest codecs, theres plenty of free downloadable sites just google video codecs. Try Upgrade to the latest Windows Media Player, and that should install all the latest codecs too. Here's a video format converter I came across, it seems to have all the major codecs included. You have to buy this one though. http://www.avsmedia.com/VideoTools/index.aspx?type=GoogleAdWordsContent&gclid=COPI0PSpz44CFQMrlAodcVie7w Hope this helps,
Put the effort in, you only get out what you put in.

YouTube recommends the following settings:
- MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
- 320x240 resolution
- MP3 audio
- 30 frames per second

| Thanks. These are the settings I used to get a decent pic. AVI 640x480 MJPEG Compression 30 frames/sec Best render Anti-Alias Off I tried it on 320x240 first, but the playback was so small, that I thought it would be better to export large and shrink down than export small and enlarge. I turned teh Anti-Alias Off as this seemed to blur the image, but as mentioned before, perhaps this is a hardware issue? So far, so good, but I would appreciate any further thoughts or ideas to improve these settings. Thanks.

| Hi Lionheart, Are you able to have Pixel Shader, with Reflection, Bump, Glow options selected under Preferences? This will give a good idea of the graphics capabilities of your borrowed laptop. Many laptops with integrated graphics are not able to use Pixel Shader and this will have a big impact on the quality of your work.
