Here is the situation:

If I apply the Cat-Walk-Forward motion to Jana, she does it nicely. There is no path involved yet.

Then I create a path, pick path, Jana will do the cat walk. However, it is the treadmill style walk-in-place walk. She stays in the starting point of the path and won't move forward.

Am I missing something?

Hey David,
I had the exact same problem. The issue apparently was in selecting the path (using the "pick path" selection) in the character toolbar. Don't do that. Just create the path, right click on the character to select run/walk forward and then click on the first point of the path. This was how I got it to work for me.

Thanks for the reply, TheBiz. I understand what you said. However, the problem is about how to make a character moving along a path while doing unique walking motions, such as cat walk, funny walk, or any other walking motions in the motion packages.

Download a Sample of How it is accomplished including 3 images that are a graphic tutorial of the Video Clip from the download. Pay Close attention to the correlation of the path markers and the time line relationship. The Positioning on the Path is manually entered under the Modify Panel on the right. Thanks very much Cricky. I too have been exploring the paths feature and puzzling over this. Your guidance has been extremely useful. Much appreciated.
