| OK, this is so far off-topic I didn't know where to post it, but this caught my attention and perhaps someone else will find it interesting.
WIRED has an article on World of Warcraft fans who create paper models of the fabulous WOW menagerie.
It turns out that they are using this application called Pepakura.
This sucks in certain 3D formats and creates a not-really-origami template for cutting, folding, and glueing.
Here are the results from one hardcore fan.
