===========================================================

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with this trial / watermark on content items which I have previously purchased from RL and installed on my computer. Some prop packs have many individual items, motion packs are often large and so far the worst seem to be the texture packs some containing hundreds of items. All need to be initially loaded individually into a project whilst on-line to prevent the watermark appearing subsequently. What a Chore !!!

The situation has been exacerbated with the relevant RL server currently being down. On Friday evening and again this morning the internet connection produces an error message and I have been unable to free my content items I wish to use in IC4 of the watermark.

I fully appreciate the need to protect unauthorized use but this system seems unduly cumbersome and penalises the very people who have made legitimate purchases. Is it beyond the RL team to come up with some sort of “Batch processing” routine so that content from our IC3 folders can be transferred to our IC4 upgrade without this annoying and time consuming imposition ?

Geoff.

That same page is showing in my IC4 even when I press the backstage tab.

RL has problems in their authentication server - they know it and are working on it
one way it manifests itself is the watermark when you use an add on item for the first time in IC4

Thanks aknzrdude.

Unfortunately the current server problem is just an additional inconvenience. I was really commenting on the fact that copying my RL IC3 content into IC4 is still proving to be so very time consuming.

Each individual item from the many packs I have purchased over the past year needs to be loaded into a project whilst on line to be free of the trial/watermark. It ought to be possible for me to “authenticate” a block of items, at least all of those that belong to one specific pack at the same time. We should not need a constant internet connection to access the full range of our RL content purchases in IC4.

RL have the details of the store packs and backstage items I own, The packs went through the registration process when they were first installed on my computer. RL have my on-line registration info from my IC4 upgrade. Why can't that information be auto synchronised so that I can simply use what I have paid for? The present system is very testing and unfriendly.

Reallusion and Microsoft starts to become a comical likeness in that you first create a stabile and good platform and then fire it to bits with a lot of crap!

So I guess if Reallusion has to fold all of us who have content bought from them would actually have to regain it some other way when their server is not online... In my mind there is copyright and I for one defend software engineers right to protect their work, I am one myself. But this starts to be scilly, all of the Gardening kit + the HUGE Biotope from reallusion.. that is a tremendous amount of things to reinitz because they have a CRAP copyright protection.

It is so sad that they can't see through all this and try to understand the user, we are more or less driven to find other ways to be rid of this infernal watermark system. So sad, once there now are such a wonderful 3D tool on the market and so irritatingly handled!

All my WWII stuff, All Biotope, All Gardening things + other things is watermarked and in that unusable and worth less for me. I had a customer who asked what this ( lost of swearing ) was good for. So I lost an account because of Reallusion shit server... That makes you irritated, very irritated!

BTW my friend, take a look at this Lamp animated short and tell me what you think!

Well, everybody was pressuring RL to get iC4 out so they could start working with it.

Now that there's a glitch, the criticism comes pretty fierce, too.

I'm just saying there's some contradiction here.

iC4 has only been available for since Oct 5. Today is Oct 17.

Ever hear of a virtue called patience?

(For what it's worth, I assume most of you are able to use BackStage in iC4. Luckier than I: my iC4 BackStage won't even connect, although iC3 Backstage still does.)
