| | Great. Thanks so much for replying on my original question. That´s exactly what i needed to know. Also, i believe there is a need for more in depth tutorials. For exemple: There are really neat images made with IC4 that you show in the reallusion IC4 new features. Why don´t you explain how they were made? What´s the process? Please Reallusion show us how to make marvellous things with IC4...and once again congratulations for this great product. |

The tuorial I would be most interestd in in one that shows the application in actual use. COme up with a short story, doesn't have to beelaborate, and show the flow of creating an actual movie. From set building, tips & techniques, things to look out for. Then move onto casting the actors, dressing them in different costumes, moving about the set in a fluid manner, interacting with items, props, other actors. So far the only video tutorials are those that touch on certain aspects of the app, but not how those different aspects work together to produce an actual movie. |

| | So, where are the new tutorials promised Two Weeks Ago? At least you (reallusion) should come to the foruns and explain why they are late, instead of just ignoring people who are waiting for them. I love the sofware and i think you do a magnificent job on it, but i still thing you have a long way to go on supporting your customers. It´s a pity...so many people complaining on this kind of stuff and you do nothing to get better. And please...i know people who are using IC for a long time feel like its kind of their child, but i hate seing some of those people flaming the foruns mad because others don´t like some things...like it´s them that are being atacked, instead of understanting that Reallusion needs their users to write about what´s wrong...because most of the things are great. For exemple, i can´t understand people who get mad when someone says that the tutorials are bad or there´s a lack of tutorials and answer with phrases like : «We all learned by doing». Imagine if the producers of other great 3d packages like 3ds max or Maya said that? These tools have many great tutorials everywere, and there are books we can buy. IC 4 doesn´t...so we need to go look for tuts on reallusion site, or maybe one or two personal sites like "certified training" or "iclone Revolution" (that unfortunely doesn´t have any more new tutorials). So, Reallusion, keep up the great work on the software, but PLEASE start understanding that we need more tuts and help on using it. Thanks. |

| | jleao, I couldn't agree more. Something I brough up in a different thread is that the basic tutorial we have currently point out some good feature of the program, but they feel more like marketing fluff or product demonstrations more than actual tutorials. And each of them touch on a specific aspect of iClone. But the individual pieces of iCLone are not that hard to figure out. It's using all these pieces and facets of the application together, to create an actual movie. Kudos to those who spent hours, days, weeks, months, and even years experimenting with this and that, and learning the program on their own. Yay, it only took years to finally become productive. But I do not have that kind of free time to dedicate to trying to learn how to use this thing. Nor the patience. Any program of complexity benefits from verbose, well thought out tutorials and documentation, something we are sorely lacking. IC is version 4 now, that means 4 major revisions and not counting the minor revisions, and still only a handful of people understand it well enough to make stuff with it. This thing should be mass market, we should be seeing IC movies everywhere. SO why doesn't Reallusion want it's users to know it's program, to learn it, and be productive with it? |
