hi, when trying to have objects rotate 360 degrees during a clip or several times 360 degrees during 1 clip, I never ever get this to work. What is the trick? When typing into the time line at first frame 1 and last frame 359, it rotates 1 degree. Not really easy to understand. so, can anyone point out how to do that? Thanks in advance!

| Hi Dekk, What you need to do is: - open the timeline editor, now set a key frame for the object in question to rotation 0,
- next move the time-line marker to frame 359, and rotate your object to 359,
- now copy frame 0 through frame 359
- finally move the marker to frame 360 and paste the previously copied animation track there,
- repeat this for how ever many time you need the object to rotate.
The way to get the object to repeatedly spin throughout the duration of the scene is to set the maximum number of frames to 359 ,follow steps 1 through 4, then save the object. Now use the saved custom object in any project you want and it will repeat it's retained rotation animation through out the scene regardless or the maximum frame number. The above 1 through 5 steps is to achieve a controlled stop. Lengthening and shortening the distance between the two key frames makes the object spin slower or faster. I hope this was helpful

| Hi, I find an easy way to understand the process is to simply; Add a Key Frame at 0 Move to Frame 30, Rotate object to 90. Move to Frame 60, Rotate object to 180. Move to Frame 90, Rotate object to 270 Move to Frame 120, Rotate object to 0 You just adjust the frame numbers to get whatever speed you want. To rotate a certain number of times just copy and paste to the required length.

Maybe this is easier, maybe not, but...
The help file of iClone spells it out in another way and it works easily : 3 Keys
Make a 360 degree rotation for props
To maintain the same direction to rotate, not to input rotation value > 180, iClone will choose the short route to achieve the same absolute rotate angle. To have a full 360 degree rotation, users need to set at least 3 key for rotation
init frame 1 = 0, mid = 179, 3rd= 358 (now 359 rounds up to 360), end = 0

| thanks to all! would be cool with a modifier where one just types in the rotation speed and direction, hopefully in a later version.

That sounds like a simple but effective idea
