I see tons and tons of 3d character models in google sketchup.
How do i convert them to iclone?
I know about iclone clone bone feature..
But that will take me to break the mesh into peaces.. |

| | Invest your pennies in 3dExchange, it is so worth the money. You can use it to convert 3d warehouse models and many others into iClone. Jo |

| don't work with characters unless you just want a static prop - iclone characters need rigging and bone structure
what you can do sis convert individual limbs to iclone then assemble them using clonebone

| Hi Tkamal you can convert them but not as characters thay dont have the bone structure so you cant apply movement

| the problem is they have no rig / bones attached to them, and iclone itself does not have a system that attaches bones to them..they do however, have a system that allows you to attach them to a bone.
the alternative is to rig the character in 3DS Max and use the developer pipeline to send it to iclone , but even then you need to convert the characters from skp to obj first, ( I think the pro sketch up does that ) then rigging is tedious.
OR
download the character in parts and attach it piece by piece like an accessory to the clone bone. I've done it a few times but the fingers alone can take like half a day or more, may be easier with the new gizmo though.
