EYELASHES.
I dont see alot saiid about them. But on iCLones G4's the Eyelashes are beautiful AND you can adjust their size. I didnt expect this. I was quite stunned and had to look and see if it had been mentioned.

THE COLOURFUL x,y,z, THING. (Official Scientific name = "Colorful x,y,z, thing.")
The Coloured bar X,Y,Z, movement system thing.
This is excellent when you have many objects.
Its MAIN No.1 importance for ME in use / in practice is that when youre setting up a big scene, many objects can be resized and lost and shrunk and drop out of sight because you accidentally clicked on something other than the item you wished to edit and suddenly....
POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It went somewhere? Time time time time time lost.
With the x,y,z, Thing now,  if you accidentally click something..... the Gizmo excellently leaps across and sits on the other selected item.
THIS IS GREAT.
Probably not what its implementation was all about. But for ME.... Brilliant. No more lost hours trying to work out where that Duck went to.
Where this REALLY comes into its own is on the Directional lighting,

WATER:
The soft edges on the water is beautiful in practicce.

HANDS and WRIST MOTION EDITING.
On the little Motion Layer window when you're editing the characters live the facility to click and make the wrist adjust from that window and see it happen live and also the clasp mechanism where you simply click and drag the hand grasps..... This is suoerb.
Its a small thing in practice but I imagine programming that was tricky, but its use is great. TImesaving and very much quicker and more efficiently than before with the fixed positions. But grabbing things and that little salt+pepper realism ingredient........ Beautiful to see.
Armstrong.

There are so many new amazing things in iC4, that everytime I sit and start exploring, I have a new OMG moment!!  The eyelashes were a great surprise, I luv the new particle for "splash" now rain drops can look so real, the hair elements have endless possibilities, the drop and drag textures are amazing ..... oh, oh, oh and the video applied to objects has tremendous potential.

Create path just knocks me out ..... on and on it goes, there are soooo many wonderful new features I have nearly had an anxiety attack imagining what can be achieved in such a user friendly application.

Reallusion, you've made this customer very, very happy!!!

Jo

I msut agree. The gizmo is REALLY helpful when I'm trying to do things and move them around. It also gives WAY more controle over things.

The water edge thing is also cool.

The other thing I really like is those lighting effects. I LOOOOOOOOVE that super bright OMG MY EYES light effect on stuff and now I can finally see it in realtime right away!

SOUL CALIBUR/FINAL FANTASY GRAPHICS ARE HERE AT MY FINGERTIPS!!!! YES!!!!

I am absolutely floored by the superb quality I am seeing.

I've only had 30 minutes with it tonight and what blew me away was the incredible artfulness of the new male model, Dylan. The attention to detail, the musculature, the eyes, lips, veins, the one and texture of the skin. The facial posing and puppeteering - such subtleties and artfulness.

And I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of all the other new features!

I am profoundly impressed. Seriously.

Cathy

O M G !!! VISIBLE CAMERAS!!!

O M G !!! CAMERA LOCKING!! YOU CAN LOCK-OFF THE CAMERA POSITION!!

When you add a camera you can now SEE IT!!! YOU CAN SEE CAMERA PLACEMENT!!! YOU CAN LOCK-OFF THE CAMERA POSITION! O M G I am jumping up and down!

This may not mean much to anyone else, but coming from the old-school film world, this means so much to me! I was so frustrated in IC3 because of this!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Cathy

I just had to share one more thing -

Transitional Moves along the walk path are FLAWLESS.

I had a character walk along a path, broke the path in the timeline, added animation clips, resumed the path using the transition bars with ease-in, ease-out - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. No skipping, hopping hesitations or sliding.

The improvements to this program are staggering. I am so impressed and I hope the people who coded this get a huge bonus for their work.

I agree. As I've said, the HDR effects are wonderful and add so much more depth to the scene. I REALLY love it.

The Timeline, even though it's held enhancements since version 3.x , is leagues more controllable now especially with the button you click which clears everything except that one objects properties.

In earlier versions, when a scene held several hundred items, timelining was lifesucking to say the least.
The streamlining and the camera seletivity especially now has really shown itself as an excellent timesaving and ease of use benefit this evening.
