| Hello, There are many things not very clear in the EULA? Do users own the inclone films, games and can they sell them without any further permission from Iclone. I mean as long as every other copyight issuse like music, etc has been handled properly.

| Hello Stories, Yes, if you are creating movies with iClone then you may own those films. If you choose to use the default or included character designs and faces that come with iClone, then you may not claim those as your own copyright design, but the story you create is yours and you may commercially shop or sell it. Most people who desire to do this will take advantage of the complete customization capability of iClone to create unique characters and faces so they may develop a 100% custom appearance. Simply stated... the movies you make in iClone are the movies you own and may distribute and sell. The only limitation to this rule, as stated in the EULA is pertaining to the creation of clipart content or volume mobile phone video content, like video ringtone libraries..

Hi john, i thought i had it clear in my mind but this statement confused me
"If you choose to use the default or included character designs and faces that come with iClone, then you may not claim those as your own copyright design, but the story you create is yours and you may commercially shop or sell it."
so if i use iclone and its standard parts and make a movie, i cannot claim a copyright on the movie? i can only claim the script (story?)

| I agree ank, everything is as clear as mud as usual. As far as I see you have to make everything from scratch before you can use it commercially even though you paid for the use of the characters props and accessories when you paid for iClone. You can have them in your work, you can sell your work but not if it contains the characters that come with the product. Catch 22 I think it's called.
Put the effort in, you only get out what you put in.

| Hi guys, Take a look at John's second sentence; "If you choose to use the default or included character designs and faces that come with iClone, then you may not claim those as your own copyright design, but the story you create is yours and you may commercially shop or sell it." I take that to mean that the movie is yours, but you must give credit to Reallusion for the original characters. I think it will be easier all round to use your own custom characters rather than use the default iClone figures. That way you should have no problems at all.

Let me see if I can muddy this further. If I use 2 characters in my iclone movie, Character-1 is generic male (called Johnny in the movie) and a customized Character-2 is female (called Venus in the movie), I own the copyright to the movie and all characters in my movie. I can sell it, give it away, etc.
If I read it correctly, I own all the copyright to my Venus character in terms of looks, form, etc..
I own all the copyright to my Johnny character, BUT I do not own the look, form, image of the Johnny character because that look/form/image is owned by iclone. It means I can not license that character's image/form/look for toys, etc... whereas I can do it with Venus' image because I customized it. Hence the recomendation of customizing your character, even slightly, should do.

| Slight modification of faces which means I attach my own face or my friend's face after taking his permission? Or by slight modification you mean that by changing haircut or the deafult look? Secodly, does the copyright laws apply to the default props and the enviroments, sets? Because its not possible to modify them. Morever can such films be played for commercial use in TV CHANNELS? I mean by using modified faces obviously.
